IMPACTING THE COMMUNITY

with Assistant General Manager, Sid V Pathy

In this series, we take a look at the amazing work being accomplished by members of our community. These are the game-changers, the inspirational leaders, and the passion-driven individuals who are changing our community, our health and our planet.

Q: Introduce yourself: tell us who you are and what you do at Impact Kitchen

A: Hi. My name is Sid and I am the Assistant General Manager at Impact Kitchen representing the Summerhill location.

Q: What has your journey at Impact looked like & what has been the highlight to date?

A: I joined Impact Kitchen in 2021 as a Manager on Duty. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the pre-opening team at the Liberty Village location which opened in September. I recently transitioned to Summerhill as their Assistant General Manager. For me personally, I would like to count every day as a highlight as we thrive to make an Impact every day with our customers.

Q: What is your favourite thing about your role?

A: Coming from a background and experience in hospitality operations, nothing makes me happier than putting a smile on my customer's faces by providing exceptional customer service. I love the fact that they always come back to see you - occasionally, sometimes if not every day. Special mentions to my backbone “The Team”. Together we always strive for perfection and find unique and different ways in making your experience something to remember.

Q: Outside of work, what lights you up? What are some of your hobbies & interests?

A: Outside of Impact, I love spending time with my family and friends. Music and food are my two go-to things to unwind. I am an aspiring sommelier and have a good knack for mixology. I love baking bread and experimenting with desserts - thank you Mom! I also enjoy travelling, going on hikes and taking long walks. There is something about it that is so calming and relaxing.

Q: Impacting the community is important to our team, what does "community" mean to you?

A: Community means a lot to me. It involves a lot of understanding and connecting with people who are so amazing and you get to learn from them on a personal and professional level. I think it is wonderful that here at Impact Kitchen we have built a very strong community.

Q: What is your favourite Impact Kitchen menu item & why?

A: That is a tough question. I have a few. For power bowls, I love the Zesty Mexican and the Warrior bowl. These were the first 2 bowls that I had at Impact Kitchen and they have always been my personal favourite. My go-to smoothie has to be the Easy Green and my favourite baked good by far is the MCT Bar

Q: How do you strive to make an Impact every day?

A: I always try to feel connected to my true self and experience joy, happiness and passion for what I do. One of the best features of working in the industry is that sense of appreciation you get from those around you. There is no better feeling than someone telling you that you have made their day.

We look forward to introducing you to more members of our community who are making an Impact every day.
