WHAT'S NEW AT IMPACT

November 10th, 2021 | By Tisha Riman

Winter is right around the corner, which means it’s time to pull out your long-forgotten knit sweaters and start thinking about ways to stay cozy. Thankfully we’ve got you covered with lots of options to keep you warm as we head into a new season.

Here are three new menu items at Impact Kitchen to warm you up–and even get you excited for the holidays!

Spicy Chicken Sandwich

While this paleo Spicy Chicken Sandwich might be new to customers, it’s been a fan-favourite at the Gary Roberts’ High Performance hockey training facility all summer. It was such a hit, we knew we had to have it on our menu full-time.

Made with a juicy chicken breast breaded in our house-made spice mix, this chicken sandwich is served on a keto bun with tangy slaw, pickles, spicy aioli and honey mustard. Served with a side salad, and potato wedges, this meal is dressed to impress and will definitely keep you full–no hockey requirements needed!

Turkey Chili

What winter menu would be complete without a hearty stew to round it out? Of course, Impact Kitchen needed a stew as delicious as it is tasty. Enter the Turkey Chili. This Turkey Chili is loaded with flavour, protein and vegetables, including: turkey, bacon, beans, zucchini, sweet potatoes, and carrots.

Its high-protein content–from the turkey and the beans–combined with ingredients rich in fibre–kidney beans, black beans, sweet potato–will keep you feeling full and satiated. The Turkey Chili is made with Impact’s house-made chicken bone broth for flavour and added health benefits. (You can read more about the health benefits of bone broth here.) Seasoned with sweet and smoky spices–and a bit of heat!–and topped with balkan yogurt and pickled red onions, this will definitely become a staple throughout the colder months.

Gingerbread Cookie

Saving the sweetest for last, these paleo and vegan gingerbread cookies have all the style (and none of the refined sugar) of traditional ginger molasses cookies. These cutout cookies are made with almond flour, molasses, ginger and cinnamon, and decorated with maple cashew frosting. Soft and chewy, these cookies are the epitome of winter holiday festivities. (And also, they’re so dang cute.)

Make sure to come by this week and try out the new goodies, and if you’re not already signed up with the Impact App, sign up here so you can order in advance and earn Impact Points with every order!
